If you know me, you know I'm interested in a lot of things, and keep myself occupied.
I like to write, because it helps me organize and remember my thoughts. As I usually think about myself and any sense I can make of my inner world, I tend to write the children's books that I think would have helped me and (honestly) the world world as a kid... and actually I think they are super-helpful now! I illustrate them myself (mostly) because, as you know...
I like to draw and make art! I paint, draw, take photos and videos to express my thoughts and to organize my observations... and to re-observe and analyze (as I hope you'll find in the Fluff pix and vids).
Part of my observations (that you'll start to see more and more of in my art and illustrations) are things that I suppose other people can't or just don't see (like energy and auras) or ignore (like Fluff... and the plight of Palestinians, for that matter).
You know I like to lend a hand when needed. I like to step up, show up, and speak up.
You might know that I've been in anguish over the past several years trying to help people I love in Gaza. But I have learned over these past years that there really is a limit to what I can do. Believe me: I've written to many agencies and people in special positions, filled out USCIS forms, met with lawyers, written politicians and celebrities, fundraised, sent a lot of money (when it was possible),...   But, when I realized that there is nothing I can really do other than to physically show up and speak up (in the flesh), I withdrew from the socials. Getting personal messages saying, "Anna, you are our last hope," has been just too much of a mental/emotional strain... and my mental/emotional health suffered from it.
For the reasons described above, I am no longer on the socials, much. Getting off of FB was hard. I admit it. But my life is much easier now. I don't have to be confronted by the horrors of the world day in and day out. That's selfish, I know. Also selfish: I don't have to make sure I've been keeping up on liking my friends posts, or worrying about if people have liked or been offended by my posts. It's really been liberating. Selfish, but liberating... oh, and it does make promoting my books and other activities more challenging. I've got faith (in myself) that I'll figure it out.
Anyway, you're here! Maybe you've read the above. Or not. In any case, I hope you find some fun and inspiration in this site. It's mostly comprised of images... but I'll link to more wordier sites like LinkedIn, blogs... etc., in the footer.
Whoever you are...even to those of you who I haven't spoken with, lately, you should know I love you. I love all of you. I love this life and thank you for being here!
